Head options · Catalogue checked 15 September 2026
A product title says “movable jaw.” Another says “ROS.” A third promises a talking head. Those descriptions answer different questions, even when the photographs show almost the same expression. Before paying for an upgrade, establish whether you want a face you can pose, a particular head construction, or a powered conversation feature.

In this guide
Start with the feature you want, not the longest label
For portrait photography, the useful question is whether the expression can be changed and how the manufacturer allows you to do it. For spoken interaction, ask about the talking system, its language support and the movements it controls. A buyer who wants both needs evidence for both; one attractive demonstration should not fill every blank in the specification.
ROS commonly means Realistic Oral Structure. SEDOLL’s own explanation describes a detailed internal mouth construction with a movable jaw. That is a manufacturer description of a head design, not proof that every product using those letters contains a motor, microphone or conversational software.
| Your requirement | Evidence to request | What remains unproven |
|---|---|---|
| A different expression in photographs | A demonstration of the permitted adjustment on the exact head | Automatic movement or speech |
| A movable jaw | Mechanism description and whether movement is manual or powered | Voice recognition or conversation |
| Spoken replies | A live question and answer using the specified module | Synchronised lip movement |
| Mouth movement during replies | Uninterrupted audio and a clear view of the face together | Support for your language, offline use or a different head version |
“Open mouth” is another source of confusion. It may describe the expression in a photograph rather than an adjustable mechanism. Do not try to settle that uncertainty by pushing or stretching the face after delivery. Settle it through the specification before ordering.
Two catalogue examples: the same label, different purchase
On 15 September 2026, we checked the following two SexDolls Station product records. Both list a soft-silicone head and a TPE body. Jess has a separate “ROS Head (Movable Jaw)” field; Fiora includes ROS in its head-material field and movable jaw in its title. Neither should be presented as an AI talking system solely on that basis. These are catalogue facts, not results of a hands-on comparison.
| Listed configuration | Jess | Fiora |
|---|---|---|
| Height | 161 cm | 164 cm |
| Head / body | Soft silicone / TPE | Soft silicone / TPE |
| Head description | ROS Head (Movable Jaw) in specifications | ROS in specifications; movable jaw in title |
| Hair | Wig | Implanted hair |
| Net weight | 39.6 kg | 42 kg |
| Listing scope | US-stock configuration | EU-stock configuration |
| Order format | Fixed configuration | Fixed configuration |
There is a practical difference beyond the head label: Jess lists a wig, while Fiora lists implanted hair. If changing hairstyles is part of your plan, keep that difference in the comparison rather than judging only the face. Ask for the relevant hair-care instructions as well. A shared ROS label does not mean the two complete configurations are substitutes for each other.
The full records are Jess, US-stock listing and Fiora, EU-stock listing. Their specifications do not establish an interchangeable head connection, an identical opening range or a shared electronics package. Those questions need separate answers if they affect your choice.

Stock labels also have a geographic scope. For a US address, start with the US listing; for an EU destination, inspect the EU offer. Customers in the UK or Canada should confirm eligibility and applicable delivery information rather than treating either label as worldwide coverage. Availability must be checked on the current product page; this comparison does not reserve a unit or promise a dispatch date.
A useful demonstration answers one missing question
Imagine that the unresolved question is simply “Does the jaw move without someone touching it?” Another posed photograph is a dead end. Ask for a short, continuous recording showing the head, the control method and the resulting movement. If adjustment is manual, ask the supplier to demonstrate its approved method rather than inventing your own.
Two close-up demonstrations of manual movement
These supplied clips show hands moving the jaw and lips, with close views inside the mouth. They make the manual adjustment easier to see than a product portrait. Neither clip establishes automatic movement or AI conversation. We have not confirmed that the heads shown are the Jess or Fiora configurations listed above.
Use these clips to frame questions about your chosen head, not as handling instructions for another model. Ask for the matching head reference and its approved adjustment method before trying to reproduce any movement.
Video review: representative frames checked on 16 September 2026. These are supplied demonstrations, not our hands-on tests; no audio or speech-performance claim is made.
For a talking feature, ask for an ordinary question in the language you intend to use, followed by the reply with the mouth still visible. A voice played over a close-up is not enough to identify the source of that voice. A clip that cuts between the question and answer also leaves the interaction less clear.
The existing AI buying guide contains a supplier demonstration of an interactive head. It is useful for seeing the sort of movement to ask about, but it does not upgrade Jess or Fiora into the system shown. Match the demonstrated head and module to the product reference on your quotation.
Save a brief note beside the clip: reference number, head version, whether a hand or controller was used, whether audio was recorded live, and which question the demonstration answered. This is more useful than rating the whole product “realistic” from a few seconds of footage. We have not measured recognition accuracy, response delay or motor lifespan for these catalogue references.
Soft silicone and upgrade names need their own explanation
“Soft silicone” tells you how a seller describes the material; it does not give a numerical hardness measurement. It also does not describe the body. Jess and Fiora illustrate the distinction clearly: their head material is silicone while their bodies are listed as TPE. The TPE and silicone comparison covers the wider body-material decision.
Manufacturer upgrade names can be more specific. Irontech’s ROS MAX page describes changes to lip positioning and eye-area construction. Those claims concern Irontech’s named design. They are not evidence that a RIDMII head has the same construction, and “MAX” is not a cross-brand performance score.

Ask what an upgrade changes in the actual order: the head mould, material option, jaw mechanism or powered module. If the answer is only another adjective, leave that feature unconfirmed. A higher price is not a substitute for a specification, and no universal opening angle or durability ranking is established by the sources used here.
Write the configuration down before paying
Our practical recommendation is to attach one short configuration record to the product link. Keep the body material separate from the head material, and keep the mechanism separate from the electronics. For a fixed stock model, do not assume that an option shown on a made-to-order page can be added to the item in your basket.
Please confirm the exact product and head reference in this quotation. Is jaw movement manual, powered, or not adjustable? Is any speech or AI module included? If included, please identify the module, supported spoken language and whether mouth movement accompanies its replies. Please also confirm the approved adjustment and cleaning instructions for this configuration.
This is a suggested enquiry, not a claim that every product offers those choices. Add your destination country and retain the reply with the order details. Our contact page is the place to resolve a missing specification; the shipping policy covers delivery information. Avoid sending payment-card details or unnecessary personal information with a product question.
For a head-only purchase or replacement, obtain written compatibility confirmation covering the actual connector and any electrical connection. A matching face name or stated body height cannot establish either. Do not order a replacement first and hope that an adapter will solve an undocumented mismatch.
Check ownership requirements before adding electronics
If the head includes powered functions, request its operating instructions before delivery. Ask what must stay dry, how it is switched off, which power supply is specified and what support is available for the module. These are questions to answer for that unit, not an invitation to apply the same care routine to every silicone head.
During receipt checks, compare the supplied reference and instructions with your saved order record. Inspect the face without forcing the jaw, and document an unexpected gap, loose component or damaged surface before attempting adjustments. The repair assessment guide explains what information to gather when something looks wrong; it is not permission to open a head or tighten an internal mechanism.
For a non-powered model, the relevant handling instructions still matter. Photographs do not show the permitted travel of a joint, and a video of a different head is not a safe limit-setting tool. Choose documented operation over a more dramatic expression.
Common questions
Does a ROS head automatically talk?
No such conclusion follows from the label. Require an explicit talking-module specification and demonstration for the configuration you intend to order.
Does a silicone head mean the whole doll is silicone?
No. The two listed examples combine soft-silicone heads with TPE bodies. Read both material fields.
Can a photo show whether the jaw is powered?
A still photograph cannot establish that. Ask how the movement is produced and request a matching demonstration.
Is a fixed stock model customisable?
Do not assume it is. The Jess and Fiora references compared here are listed as fixed configurations. Confirm any requested change before ordering.
